I recently had the privilege of participating in the exceptional study program belonging to the RidgeFox Academy, and I am thrilled to share my experience with others. This program has undoubtedly been a transformative journey that has broadened my knowledge, sharpened my skills, and enriched my personal and professional growth.
 

From the moment I enrolled in the study program, I was impressed by the level of organization and attention to detail. The program coordinator Rob, was dedicated and supportive, ensuring that all participants felt welcomed and comfortable throughout the duration of the journey. Rob’s commitment to our success was evident in every aspect of the program.
 

The curriculum itself was comprehensive and well-structured, covering a diverse range of topics relevant to the material. The study materials provided were of exceptional quality, including textbooks, online resources, phone applications, and supplementary materials. Rob’s teaching style made even the most complex concepts easy to understand.
 

Furthermore, the program offered valuable mentorship and career development resources. Throughout the process, Rob remained readily available to provide guidance, offer advice, and share professional insights from his experiences as a Miami-Dade Police Lieutenant. He genuinely cared about my future success and went above and beyond to help me navigate the material to prepare for the Police Sergeant’s exam.
 

In conclusion, I am thrilled to share that I achieved my goal of promotion to Police Sergeant within the Miami-Dade Police Department and was able to attain the fourth spot on the eligibility list. I wholeheartedly recommend the Ridgefox Academy to those seeking the same opportunities and growth I was.

Rob McGrath was instrumental in my testing process. He took someone who has NEVER been a great student to scoring number 2 on the Sergeant’s promotional test without any seniority. His foundation is solid to the point that your effort is the only thing separating you from your desired outcome. His approach to success allows you to follow your pace, stay caught up, and focus all your effort on moving forward, NOT cramming to catch up.

The process is NOT easy by any means. You WILL feel overwhelmed. You WILL doubt yourself.  You WILL be tempted to stray from the plan for comfort. But, if YOU hold yourself accountable and are willing to do the work, you will have every tool at your disposal to thrive. Following his guidance allows for growth, even when life events make you say, “you don’t have time today”. Throughout the process, he provided constant guidance and reassurance, and by using Rob’s path, I could maintain an extremely high volume of studying. At the same time, my wife was pregnant and even during the “you will not get any sleep” stage of having a newborn. 

As someone who has never been great academically, I was in the beginning stages of the process and felt I was in way over my head. I was extremely overwhelmed with the amount of material, needing to figure out where or even how to start. Rob is not only the reason I placed where I did; he is the reason I was able to see the process through. 

With his guidance and tools, all that is left to determine your outcome is your effort.

Rob McGrath is a magnificent teacher and motivator. He has the ability to promote self-confidence by providing the necessary tools to perform under stress. I was skeptical and hesitated even to take the test. He provided the confidence I needed by tailoring a specific strategy for studying with very limited time. I’m confident that I placed high on the exam because of the knowledge and experience I obtained through all the different courses I took with Rob.

Working with Rob changed my own expectations and provided the advantage I needed to promote to Police Sergeant within weeks of taking the test.

I have known Rob McGrath for many years. We have worked together as Officers, Sergeants, and Lieutenants, and during that time, I was lucky enough to participate in his promotional exam preparation classes. He is very knowledgeable of the material and has a true passion for teaching. Robert’s course was very informative. He focused on key points that gave me the tools necessary to score high on the Sergeant’s and the Lieutenant’s promotional exams. Even though I took similar classes that promised to prepare me for the department's promotional exam, his material and teaching techniques are far superior and helped me gain a true and practical understanding of the material. Rob has created a platform that made it extremely easy for me to retain what I was reading. His program and reading the SOPs, Legal Guidelines, etc, made this process significantly easier. The greatest component for me was the Job Simulation Test preparation course! I had taken the test before, but how often are we ever taking a test like the JST? The JST course will prepare you for the most important part of the promotional exam. I cannot stress this enough. That course is worth its weight in gold if you are serious about getting promoted. I took what I learned from the course, including tips from Rob, and used that to my advantage. I came out #3 on the Sergeant’s exam. The multiple-choice exams and videos are broken down perfectly by chapter and book, making it easy to review everything. The multiple-choice tests aren’t long and are easy to access from your phone. I could take quick tests while sitting in the car, in waiting rooms, and even while waiting to execute search warrants! There will be days when you just don’t have time to sit down and read. This is where the app comes in handy and allows you to at least get some study time in. I 100% recommend this for anyone taking a promotional exam.

 Rob McGrath is brilliant at testing and test preparation. He has the ability to analyze the high-liability sections of the promotional examination and other seemingly complex sections of my departmental manual to make them seem simple. His course was instrumental in my preparation, and as a result of his test prep course, I placed number three on my department's lieutenants eligibility list. I've since been promoted for several years now. I couldn't have done it without his course.
